AYSO has six philosophies: Balanced Teams, Everyone Plays, Positive Coaching, Open Registration, Good Sportsmanship & Player Development. These philosophies are what make AYSO special and why we are the number one youth sports program in America.

As many of you are aware, the COVID-19 outbreak forced us to cancel the Fall 2020 season. Because of this, we do not have recent information about any of our returning players’ skills and abilities – and no information about players who are new to Region 174. Therefore, to help us be able to create balanced teams to the best of our abilities, we will be holding Player Evaluations for ALL players in divisions 7U to 14U.

All Player Evaluations will be held at the North Valley Soccer Fields – 12940 Balboa Blvd., Granada Hills 91344.

Evaluations begin at 6:00 pm. Shin guards are REQUIRED for all players. No shin guards, no play, no exceptions.

·       Tuesday, July 27 – Boys 7U (2015) & 8U (2014)

·       Wednesday, July 28 – Girls 7U (2015) & 8U (2014)

·       Thursday, July 29 – Boys 10U (2013-2012)

·       Tuesday, August 3 – Girls 10U (2013-2012)

·       Wednesday, August 4 – Boys 12U (2011-2010) & 14U (2008-2009)

·       Thursday, August 5 – Girls 12U (2011-2010) & 14U (2008-2009)

·       Saturday, August 7 at 9:00 am – Make-up Player Evaluations for Boys and Girls 7U-14U ONLY  

WHO DOES NOT NEED TO COME: Any player in divisions 6U (2017-2016), 16U (2007-2006), and 19U (2005-2003)

Opening Day is Saturday, September 18, 2021.

AYSO is a youth program whose success and continuance are supported and dependent solely on volunteers. We are still in need of coaches for many divisions, as well as referees, team parents and other help. Parents, if you have not yet volunteered, please take a moment to log in to your Sports Connect account and register to volunteer.

DO NOT FEAR! We provide all of the training for coaches and referees, and no prior experience is necessary. It is not only a big help — and a show of support to your child — it is fun! Dates for coach and referee training classes are listed on the calendar. All coaches and referees must participate in AYSO certified training. All training is free. There is no cost to you.
